Mark Richey Woodworking Mike helped Mark Richey's company secure a grant to install a biomass furnace. The machines helps provide a large percentage of the facility's heat by
burning wood chip waste that would have otherwise been discarded.
Mark Richey has also installed a wind turbine which provides power to his woodworking shop.
Cider Hill Farm Under the leadership of Glenn and Karen Cook, Cider Hill Farm has become a leader in using green technologies to power their business. Mike has been there every step of the way.
Mike helped the COoks secure a grant through the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative to build two wind turbines, which provide clean, renewable power to Cider Hill Farm. The turbines were among the first to be used in Massachusetts
agriculture. Cider Hill has also used solar energy, and was recently awarded $30,000 by the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture to install a new photovalotaic system.
Nock Middle School The Nock Middle School received a grant from the state to install a solar array panel on the roof.
