The First Essex District is rich in history. Clipper Ships and Horse Carriages were built here. The United States Coast Guard was founded here. We have America's Oldest Beach, and many, many historical structures that enrich the fabric of our lives still. Mike recognizes the importance of this history and has worked to preserve the places that our intergral to our past, and our future.

Newburyport City Hall Repointing of the bricks on the historic brick structure

Newburyport Powderhouse Helped arrange of 99-year lease between the Massachusetts National Guard and the City of Newburyport to preserve the Powderhouse and create new recreational space for the city's residents. Has been responsible for securing $XXX in grant money to help with renovations

Historic Society of Old Newbury Installed new windows and performed other renovations.
