Newburyport Chamber Launches New Marketing CampaignThe Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the City of Newburyport announces the formal presentation of the City’s new economic development marketing campaign to be unveiled on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 4:00 PM at Mark Richey Woodworking and Design, 40 Parker Street, Newburyport. New economic development marketing materials, developed by the City’s Office of Economic Development with funding secured by Newburyport’s state legislative delegation, include a full color pamphlet with pertinent information about Newburyport’s highly-skilled workforce, quality-of-life, industry strengths, and infrastructure to support new job creation projects. The new campaign will include a series of advertisements to be featured in the Boston Business Journal and other publications through the Spring of 2007. “This marketing campaign is about enabling Newburyport to be well-positioned to attract the region’s best employers,” stated Newburyport Mayor John Moak. “New investment in Newburyport and a greater share of the state’s globally competitive industries, will better allow the city to maintain and grow its high standard of living.” Esther Sayer, Chairperson of the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry said “the Chamber is thrilled to support and advocate for the economic development of Newburyport. The creation of this campaign will assist in creating more opportunities for growth of business in Newburyport’s Industrial Park.” "The City of Newburyport has a wealth of resources to offer businesses and this campaign will hopefully enable those unfamiliar with its location, skilled workforce and other assets a glimpse of what is possible should they relocate their company to the area," said Senator Steven A. Baddour. "I am confident that this will continue to boost the vibrant community that already exists in town." "I hope we can continue to find ways like this marketing campaign to promote Newburyport in order to attract new businesses to the downtown area and the industrial park," said Representative Michael A. Costello. "I believe a partnership between the state and the city is necessary to preserve and increase the vitality of Newburyport. In that spirit, economic development remains among my top priorities for the upcoming budget cycle." |
